CI MACRO seeks to capture big waves across financial markets before other investors identify

them. It uses a contrarian trading strategy, long and short, across global equity, credit, currencies, commodities, and volatility.

CI MACRO enters positions when they are deeply

out of favor with large institutional investors, and seeks to hold them for 3-24 months as its thesis goes from “contrarian” to “consensus” and other investors adopt CI’s view. 

Positions are actively managed via tactical trading.

Investment decisions are based on fundamental macro and policy analysis, geopolitical analysis, and an analysis of market trading activity and investor psychology.

The strategy’s objective is to achieve equity-like returns with a similar level of volatility. At the same time, it seeks to act as a diversifier for client portfolios by maintaining a low correlation
